I was a fashion-commercial photographer for 30 years. (Did Miami Beach in the 90s..hung with people like Cindy Crawford and Valentino) Anyway...Green sidelight never makes skin look good. Amazon some (gently) warm toned photo gels(just thin plastic squares)..and some gaffer tape...tape the gels over your side lights, and presto you will have a nice Miami Tan instead of looking pale and greenish.

What's better? Hold and let compound? Or ring the register a few times a year and sell 20%, then rebuy the dip?

thanks for another great video boss AT! the point you made about looking at magnitude of moves is really important right now (and still related to your callout about the skew change). i also like how you showed that the concept may apply to NVDA after such a vicious drop. think your comments at the end were also really important, i do believe there is something to these kind of moves FOR SURE! this might be a little tin foil-ish but my default is to just assume that the MM/algo/whatever is a very big a-hole who is just hunting for stops. this is bc i have an overall bullish bias (election year, coming rate cuts, AI, etc). i never really short so i'm missing opportunities on that side. i used to trade in a long only market and even though i've been in the US market for a couple of years now, i've only "shorted" through inverse stocks/etfs maaaaybe 5 times. too small a sample size to say if it was good or not. i found it stressful tbh lol. the other day you said "you've made tons a lot faster by shorting" and then NVDA had 3 big red candles. and i was just smiling thinking of you. i didn't get short but i was looking for it to drop. in a perfect world, i would've went short rather than "waiting" for 120 level. sometimes i feel like i should be more balanced going both ways because you were right again. could've really cleaned up in just 3 days if i went short. is this just a "mental block"? maybe i'm just hesitant bc i haven't done it enough? do you feel that you have to watch short positions more closely than long positions? do you still use the same risk allocation (1% of port)? as always, THANK YOU for all you do! best trading channel on YT. the lessons are fantastic and the community you have created is amazing. Every small pullback we get the permabears and doomsdayers come out of the woodwork. This market is just grinding higher constantly and it feels like at some point here a fast/blow off move is coming driven by FOMO.

I was looking at the numbers for the bond auctions trying to figure it out. I thought lower numbers was bullish and higher numbers bearish. It was confusing me trying to watch the bond auctions. Thanks for the insight about what’s important is to watch the action from the bond auctions instead of focusing too much on the number. Hope my assessment was correct that I just stated

another great video today boomer. for SOXX I like the retest (close enough) of the pervious control bar and reversal. looks bullish to me. smart money is buying with anticipation of a rate cut in September, so I feel like the melt up could continue. NVDA holding the 22ma (for now) and getting down to 52 on rsi and holding on the daily. XLK(+semis) and XLC are the only sectors I seem to comeback to all of 2024 so far

I study charts a couple hours each night and most of my weekend.During the day I also spend the entire day looking at of my positions but I still have a hard time making any money. It is more than just frustrating, it is demoralizing. Sometimes I just don't know what to do. I am trading with several hundred thousand dollars and have $2k days or sometimes -$5k days. I wish the market was not such a game and had rules of some kind. It seems like what the institutions are doing should be illegal.

mu earnings, pce, election debate.. ...recipe to get back to regularly scheduled tech/semis run-up...

smh filled gap exactly right on top of 20day. so obvious, yet didnt pull the trigger..... they got the pullback done faster than the last one in march/april.. ...will be interesting to see how fast it breaks above the nasty red candle from last week....

If Anthony was correct, the Dow and Russell would be in sync with the NQ and ES. They aren't and haven't been for months. PAY ATTENTION, you can make money on both sides. The bond market is meaningless when the correlation of indices has completely broken down. They're buying bonds because they HAVE TO! No choice.

Gotta say, if you trade from the perspective of 'this or that isn't up for discussion' when you are wrong you won't know why. This is the 1st time in 20 months I have ever heard Arete be biased af towards his own book. I get it, but buyer beware

How do I get info about bond auctions? I don’t have TradingView.

I'm confused... One thing from the smart money/dumb money chart doesn't make sense... I can't find another point where both are trading the same direction. Smart money and dumb money are both spiking together. I don't see it anywhere else. I wouldn't call not filling the gaps on the main indexes healthy either but whatever... Bigger drop later

You have to watch everything that Anthony posts for months to get used to how his mind works and then be able to understand what he's saying.

If smart money is simply just trades made at the end of the day and retail is the morning trades I find it hard to believe that it is accurate. I’m sure there are more parameters to it but have you actually used the smart/dumb money indicator to make any direct trades? I can see if there is still value to it but for me it just seems like it’s too “dirty” and therefore wouldn’t be a good indicator to make decisions off of
